Comparative evaluation of Tooth Surface Abrasiveness of Herbal and Non-herbal Toothpaste.

Background: Abrasion is the mechanical wearing of dental hard tissue and commonly affects cervical tooth structure. The main predisposing factors for abrasion are brushing method type toothpaste used. Toothpaste an important component in etiology abrasion. Most contains abrasive agents cleaning, maintaining, improving health. There two types commercially available; synthetic herbal formulations. Synthetic toothpastes typically contain agents, such as calcium phosphate, carbonate, silica or hydrated removing debris stains. High amounts abrasives may damage soft tissues restorations, leading to gingival recession, dentinal hypersensitivity. purpose this study investigate effect compared with non-herbal toothpaste.
 
 Methods: 300 patients were randomly selected those who fulfilled eligibility criteria. Subjects participating equally divided into 2 groups. Group A: Herbal toothpaste, B: Non gel. presence defects each person will be diagnosing using wear index (TWI).
